Follow Friday (1)

Hey guys! It's not exactly Friday yet, but my blog says it is, so this post is going up! (Plus there's only like ten minutes to Friday, so we can let it slide this time.)

 Q: What would you do over if you were to start your blog again from scratch?

A: Okay, for me this is a toughy, because this blog is fairly new- ten days old to be exact. But I guess, now that I'm here, there are a few things that I would change coming into this.

To start, I would have done more research about memes. Then I would have gathered up the ones I wanted to do and started posting them immediately.

Also, I would have done more reading preparation. And by that I mean, have several books read and reviewed- ready to be posted straight away- therefore attracting more viewers.
And to finish, I would have gone into this with a much more focused mind. Instead of mine that sounded like- and still sounds like- this: Pretty flowers, pretty theme, pretty reviews. Pretty book blog. Let's make a pretty book blog.

    My book blog is new too (about six weeks) and I want mine to be pretty too (so definitely not judging)! I am actually working on a "redesign" so to speak to accomplish just that.

    I completely understand where you're coming from. Having some reviews already done and ready to be posted would definitely have given people a little more to read. Sometimes just waiting for more than one post on a blog doesn't always give readers a good indication of whether it will be a blog they would like to follow (no judgment there ^_~). Further, I also understand where you are coming from with your focused mind comment. Unless you've sat down and done a LOT of thinking, sometimes it can be really hard to fully express what you feel about something. Even after doing it for 10 years while in college, I still find myself having the same issue ^_^

    Congrats on just starting! Yay! I really hope you enjoy this book blogging adventure!

    I know perfectly what you mean. I was caught up with a having everything perfect and pretty. Plus, I didn't realize that there are other living and breathing book bloggers out there. But don't worry. You weren't the only one! ;)

    There is nothing wrong with a pretty book blog ; ) The thing with blogging is that you can do all the prep you want but it is mostly a learn on the job kinda thing. It all seems a bit massive and out of control at the begining but it comes together in the end. You are going to love it : )

    Your blog is great! I went into blogging knowing not a damn thing, with absolutely no plan and I think I turned out okay :) You'll do great! Most important thing to remember is: it's okay to make mistakes and try new things until you figure out your vision and voice. :)
